How can I get an executive position with the Boston Red Sox front office?

I have 10+ years of experience in technology consulting but am ready for a change in careers - any chance of getting a position like that if I am not in the baseball industry? I have been consistently in the top 5% at my company and have been characterized as as a "best available athlete" to work on all types of projects, complex, large and small.

The short answer, you can't. All the executive positions are spoken for. Thogh some cold calling certainly wouldn't kill you, I wouldn't hold out much hope.

You can network any job or you can cold call. One thing for sure you will never get the job if you don't ask for it.
